The MKE Moms Blog team was treated to an evening of yummy food on behalf of Belair Cantina for the purposes of this post. Our love for tacos and margaritas is legit, as is the enthusiasm in this post.
Every time I take my kids out to eat, they barely even look at the menu before they are announcing they want chicken nuggets and french fries. AGAIN. We really want to teach them to enjoy a variety of foods, but when the choices are limited and tempers are short, it’s all too easy to fall back on the old stand-by. That’s why I am stoked to tell you all about the AMAZING kids menu at Belair Cantina. Over a dozen MKE Moms Blog Events and LoveMKE team members descended on Belair Cantina Tosa to check out the best margarita in town paired with what I can only describe as a kids menu every parent can get excited about.
The team at Belair really rolled out the red carpet for us and it was so neat to hear manager Erik talk about how Belair is committed to creating a space conducive to community for their guests. This is evident in the large, open bench seating in the middle of the restaurant where families can instantly make new friends.
Erik also told us about how Belair completed revamped their kids menu recently to include options that really go beyond the typical chicken nuggets and cheeseburgers. There are so many kid-pleasing options that really stand out. Check out the Hot Dog Taquitos — which are basically corn dogs kicked up a few notches. My kids would go NUTS for these.
Our team also devoured the Quesadillas, both Queso and Con Pollo. The same flavors that made Belair’s tacos so famous make an appearance in these quesadillas and I can’t imagine a kid not enjoying these. And if they “get full” too quickly? More for mama!
A few of the other options you’ll find on this kids menu that are sure to please are the Baja Tilapia Taco featuring fried tilapia and citrus slaw, a Baby Gringo Burrito, and a side of Corn with queso and crema and all kinds of amazing ingredients that was to die for.
Oh, and did we mention BRUNCH? Belair Cantina is famous for their brunch and it would be a shame to leave the kids out of that deliciousness! French Toast, Chorizo Con Huevos Quesadilla, and the Belair Parfait are just a few of the choices for kids to enjoy while Mom and Dad grab a Bloody.
