We did it! After 50 years, the Milwaukee Bucks are World Champions!
The Milwaukee Bucks have represented so much more than just sports. They marched for justice, became role models for our children and united a city together. This win means more than a trophy, it has brought hope for our future. It’s important to for our children to remember this historic win for the Bucks but also celebrate the city that we call home.
Here are some of the ways you can celebrate the World Champion Milwaukee Bucks with your family:
Championship Parade: See the first ever Championship parade Thursday, July 22 and 11 am. According to the official NBA website, the parade will “begin at the intersection of E. Wisconsin Ave. and N. Prospect Ave. The parade will then proceed west on E. Wisconsin Ave. before turning north onto N. Water St. From there, the route will continue on N. Water St. to E. Knapp St. before ending on E. Knapp St. at the Milwaukee River.” At 12:30 the Championship ceremony will be held at the Deer District. There will be multiple viewing areas and screens set up throughout the Deer District. Family Friendly Parade Watch Party: Want to join in the festivities while avoiding the crowds. Belfast Station in Sussex is hosting a family friendly watch party with food specials and giveaway. Give them a follow on Facebook and stay tuned for more details.
