Wisconsin Friends State Parks Challenge 2021
Exploring Wisconsin’s beautiful State Parks is a great way to get outside and get active, while also staying safe and healthy! We are so blessed to live in a state with so many State Parks that truly show off the wonder of nature and we know you enjoy visiting them too!
In 2021, the Wisconsin state park system, (WSPS), is launching a special scavenger-hunt style challenge for visitors, complete with activities and prizes up for grabs!
Starting on March 20th, Wisconsinites can enter different challenges to be completed at State Parks across the state. Some challenges include hiking every trail on one WSPS property or camping for six totals nights at a Wisconsin State Park.
The list has more than 20 challenges for people to complete in the WSPS. The challenges feature state parks, recreation areas, trails, waterways and forests. There are a variety of challenges to complete for a wide range of interests and skill levels, including trail hiking, cleaning up litter, or taking a selfie at scenic overlooks.
Each time a challenge is completed and documented in either a downloadable logbook or the online logbook, the household name is entered into a final drawing for prizes —one entry per household not per person. Only one prize will be awarded per family.
Participants will receive a digital certificate for each challenge and will be entered in a drawing to win prizes. The challenge begins March 20, and will go through September 22.
How to Participate
Starting at the end of February, you can visit Wisconsin Friends Explore and download a free logbook where you can document your completed challenges. Participants are then encouraged to share their completed challenges using the hashtag #wfechallenge.
