Old World Wisconsin Returns for 2021!
After being cooped up inside for so long, families are anxious to get outside and enjoy as many local attractions as possible this spring and summer. Old World Wisconsin, a popular destination run by the Wisconsin Historical Society, is thrilled to welcome visitors back this year with new ways to explore history as safely as possible.
What is Old World Wisconsin?
Located in Eagle, Old World Wisconsin is set on over 600 acres of gorgeous land with more than 60 restored historic structures. Visitors travel back in time to the 1940s to 1910s and learn about the history of those who lived here before us by exploring sensory-rich spaces, hearing stories, and engaging in the hands-on activities led by costumed staff. The goal at Old World Wisconsin is to create an immersive educational experience for visitors of all ages that will also delight and entertain!
Each area at Old World Wisconsin showcases different stories. You will find historic spaces to explore, gardens and trails to wander through, and a variety of animals that helped our ancestors survive and thrive in this new world. Experience the daily life of the people who called these buildings home as you help with chores and cooking, try your hand at crafts and trades, and play – yes, even the grownups!

Visitors may attend earlier in the season by attending Special Experiences like Family Fun Drive on May 29-31 or Guided Journeys on Wednesdays starting June 16. Reservations for the Guided Journeys open on May 11th.

Grab your friends and family, pile in your car, and head to Old World Wisconsin for a drive-through tour of the site this spring! Each tour is offered 3 times per day; First tour departs at 9:30 am and Last Tour Departs at 2:45 pm.
Explore history in a new way at Old World Wisconsin this summer with a guided tour of the site. These small group experiences – designed for all ages – are perfect for those new to Old World Wisconsin, or those who want to dive deeper into the rich collection of stories of those who came to call Wisconsin home. Advance registration required. (Reservations for Guided Journeys begin on May 11th)
