The Ultimate Guide to Milwaukee Area Fireworks


Fireworks are integral to Milwaukee’s summertime culture. There is no summer without them! Below is a detailed list of the 2019 Milwaukee area fireworks shows, including festivals and the 4th of July. So grab a blanket, pack your picnic basket, and attend as many firework displays as you can!


Pridefest Milwaukee – June 7th-9th. Enjoy Pridefest at the Henry Maier Festival Park and watch their Friday night fireworks beginning at 9:30pm. Visit Pride Fest for more information.

Milwaukee Summerfest Big Bang – June 26th, 9:30pm. While attending Summerfest, stay for one of the biggest firework shows in town – the Big Bang! Visit Summerfest for more information.

Festa Italiana – July 19th-21st. How many cannolis can you eat? Regardless of the answer, Festa loves their fireworks and offers a show on Saturday and Sunday evening of the festival. Visit Festa Italiana to find out all dates and times of their fireworks.

Family Fun Before the Fourth — June 29th. Mequon and Thiensville’s premiere summer family fun and entertainment attraction. Parade at 10:30 am with free ice cream after. Fireworks at dusk! Visit Family Fun Before the Fourth for more information.

Milwaukee GermanFest – July 26th-28th. Wear your best lederhosen and polka the night away. Make sure to drab a stein and stay for the fireworks on Friday and Saturday night! Visit German Fest for more information.

Milwaukee Irish Fest – August 15th-18th. Celebrate the luck of the Irish at the Henry Maier Festival Park and enjoy the fireworks to close off yet another successful festival. Visit Irish Fest for more details.

4th of July Parades and Fireworks

Milwaukee County

Milwaukee Lakefront – Milwaukee’s annual July 3 fireworks will display once again at Veteran’s Park, 1010 N. Lincoln Memorial Drive. Fireworks will light up the sky above Lake Michigan at dusk.

Brown Deer – July 4th. Watch the parade starting at 1:30pm at Brown Deer Elementary School and ending in Village Park. Fireworks at 9:30pm at Village Park.

Cudahy – July 4th. Parade at noon, starting at Grange Ave. and Packard Ave. The parade ends at Sheridan Park, where there will be day-long activities followed with fireworks at approximately 9:20pm.

Franklin – July 4th. Children’s parade starts at 10:30am with the main parade at 11:00am, starting at W. Loomis Road and Forest Hill Ave. Fireworks at 9:30pm at Lion’s Legend Park. Plus, be sure to check out their Four Day Civic Celebration, Wednesday, July 3rd through Saturday, July 6th.

Glendale – July 4th. Children’s parade at 10:00am with the­ main parade at 10:30am, along the Milwaukee River Parkway from Parkway Elementary School to pavilion in Kletzsch Park. Fireworks at dusk, around 9:30PM, at Kletzsch Park.

Greendale – July 4th. Parade at 10am. Fireworks at dusk in downtown Greendale across from Gazebo Park at the Historic Hose Tower. Be sure to also check out their Greendale Family Fest, Wednesday, July 3rd through Saturday, July 6th.

Greenfield – July 4th. Parade at 12:00pm. Fireworks at dusk, approximately 9:45PM, at Konkel Park.

Hales Corners – July 4th. Children’s parade at 9AM, followed by the Big Parade at 4:00pm, starting at Janesville Rd at 110th St. and ending at Village Hall. Fireworks at dusk at Hales Corners Park.

Alcott – July 4th. Parade at 9:45am and fireworks at 9:15pm.

Enderis – July 4th. Parade at 8:30am departing from 81st St. School. No fireworks show.

Gordon – July 4th. Parade at 11am and fireworks at 9:15pm.

Humboldt – July 4th. Parade at 9am starting at Kinnickinnic Ave. and E. Linus St.  Fireworks at 9:15pm.

Jackson – July 4th. Parades at 8:30am starting at St. Gregory the Great School. Fireworks at 9:15pm.

Lake  – July 4th. Parades at 9am starting at Hartford Ave. School or Maryland Ave. School. Fireworks at 9:15pm at the Lakefront.

Lincoln – July 4th. Fireworks at 9:15pm.

Mitchell – July 4th. School parade at 9am and fireworks at 9:15pm.

Noyes – July 4th. Parade at 9am and fireworks at 9:15pm.

Sherman – July 4th. Parade at 9:30am starting at St. Catherine’s Church. No fireworks.

Washington – July 4th. Fireworks at 9:15pm

Wilson – July 4th. Parades at 9am and fireworks at 9:15pm.

Oak Creek – July 4th. Parade at 9am. Decorate those bikes, wagons and strollers and enter the decorating contest! Fireworks at dusk at Lake Vista Park.

Shorewood – July 4th. Parade at 3pm along N. Oakland Ave. from Kensington Blvd. to River Park. Fireworks at 9:30pm at Atwater Park.

South Milwaukee – July 4th.  Parade at 10am, followed by a free hot dog lunch. Fireworks at 9:30pm at Grant Park.

St. Francis – July 4th. Parade at 10am at Lipton and Howard Avenue. Fireworks at 9:15pm at Milt Vretenar Municipal Park.

Wauwatosa – July 4th. Parade at 9am along W. North Ave from 80th to 104th. Fireworks at 9:15pm at Hart Park.

West Allis – Grandstand Show at State Fair Park at 8:30PM, followed by  fireworks at 9:30pm.

Whitefish Bay – July 4th. Parade at 11:30am starting at N. Kent Ave. and W. Silver Spring Drive. Fireworks at 9:30pm at Klode Park.

Ozaukee County

Cedarburg – July 4th. Parade at 10am down Washington Avenue. Fireworks at dusk at Cedar Creek Park.

Grafton Holidaze – Saturday, June 29th. Parade at 11am starting at Grafton High School. Fireworks at dusk, approximately 9:30PM, at Lime Kiln Park.

Port Washington – July 4th. Parade at 10am and fireworks at dusk at the Coal Dock Park.

Saukville – July 4th. Parade at 1pm and fireworks at dusk at Peninsula Park.

Washington County

Germantown – July 4th. Parade at noon by the post office to Park Street. Fireworks at 9pm at Firemen’s Park.

Hartford – July 4th. Parade at 2pm starting on North Main. Fireworks at dusk at Gib Mahr Field.

Kewaskum – July 3rd. Fireworks at dusk at River Hill Park.

West Bend – July 4th. Parade at 9:30am followed by free root beer floats for kids 12 and under. Fireworks at 9:45pm at Riverside Park.

Waukesha County

Brookfield – July 4th. Parade at 10am, followed by the annual city-wide Ice Cream Social and Family Fest on the Civic Plaza. Fireworks at 9:17pm at Mitchell Park.

Butler – July 4th. Parade at 2pm and fireworks at 9:30pm at Frontier Park.

Delafield – Fireworks are Saturday, July 6th at dusk over Lake Nagawicka. Parade is July 4th at 10am starting in downtown Delafield.

Elm Grove – July 4th. Fireworks at 9:30pm at Village Park.

Menomonee Falls – July 3rd. Parade at 7:00pm starting at Appleton Avenue from Elm Lane. Fireworks at dusk at Menomonee Falls High School.

Muskego – July 4th. Fireworks at dusk at Idle Isle Park.

New Berlin 4th of July Family Festival – July 4th. Children’s parade at 9:30 in City Hall parking lot and main parade at 1pm on National Avenue. Fireworks at 10:00pm at Malone Park.

Oconomowoc – July 4th.  Boat parade at 8:30 pm followed by fireworks at dusk on Okauchee Lake.

Pewaukee – July 4th. Parade at 4pm through downtown. Fireworks at dusk at Pewaukee Lake.
