New Year’s Eve is a time to reflect on the past year and celebrate the next year. With the new year starting at midnight, New Year’s celebrations often forget about our little ones, who are usually tucked away in bed when the new year strikes. Luckily, we have plenty of options for Milwaukee New Year’s Eve Celebrations for Kids! If you are looking to celebrate the new year with your kids, here are some kid-friendly New Year celebrations happening in/around Milwaukee:

  1. Get your dance on at the Kid Boogie Down Noon Year’s Eve Dance Party! –Canceled for 2020. Check back in 2021 and check their twitch channel for when they will be live next!
  2. Sing, dance, and toast the new year at noon at Betty Brinn Museum for the New Year’s Eve at Noon celebration. Canceled for 2020. The Betty Brinn Children’s Museum has temporarily closed. We’re doing our part to keep our community healthy during COVID-19. Please check back for updates regarding our reopening. We can’t wait to see you again!
  3. Celebrate the new year playing at Big Backyard.No details yet for 2020. Check website for updates. 
  4. Enjoy live music, magic shows, fire dancing, and light shows at Mitchell Park Domes. Tickets are required and guaranteed to sell out for this event. Canceled for 2020. Check back in 2021. 
  5. Go on a spy mission at Safe House called Cheers Around The World. Fun for adults and kids, toasts will begin at 2 pm and will take place every hour to celebrate New Year’s around the world.Canceled for 2020. Check back in 2021. 
  6. Take the family skating at either Ozaukee or Waukesha Skateland. Please check websites for COVID-Specific requirements. Bounce houses will be closed. All guests will be encouraged to wear masks and use hand sanitizer upon entry. 
  7. Head to Stonefire Pizza for a balloon drop at 3 pm and 8 pm. The package includes an unlimited buffet, game card, wristband, rides, and party favors. Canceled for 2020. Check back in 2021.  
  8. In lieu of a balloon drop, check out the confetti cannon and toast at 8 pm at Bounce Milwaukee. There will be a live DJ, photographer, and time capsule creation. Different packages are available and must be purchased in advance. Canceled for 2020. Check back in 2021. 
  9. Pump It Up is having a Noon Year’s Eve party with a DJ, glow party, pizza, and balloon drop. This event sells out, so get your tickets in advance. No details for 2020. Check their website for the latest updates. 
  10. A long-standing Milwaukee tradition, the Harlem Globetrotters will be at the Fiserv Forum December 31. Always a fun and entertaining event, the whole family will enjoy seeing the Globetrotters. Canceled for 2020. Check back in 2021. 
  11. Attend the Milwaukee Wave game at 3pm at the UW-Milwaukee Panther arena! Games are fast-paced and high energy, and perfect entertainment for children of all ages. Milwaukee Wave Season Canceled for 2020. Check back in 2021. 
  12. Throw your own party–put on some fun videos, including this awesome countdown featuring Paw Patrol’s DJ Rubble from Nick Jr.!
