We celebrated our 1st Annual Family Egg Hunt on Saturday, March 12th at Kids in Motion in New Berlin! We had a full house of local families who came out for a morning of family-friendly fun. The event was sponsored by MKE Moms Blog and Moles & Ferri Orthodontic Specialists and offered up a breakfast spread on behalf of Sam’s Club in West Allis, coffee & an assortment of sweet treats from O’ What a Day Cafe, professional photo ops with Melissa Morgan Photography, story time, crafts, face painting, Queen Elsa, egg hunts, the Easter Bunny, games, and many other kid-friendly activities. There was plenty of fun for everyone and we hope kids left with smiles on their faces, but exhausted enough to take a killer nap. 🙂
We want to say a HUGE thank you to Kids in Motion for hosting such a fantastic event!
Our title sponsors, Moles & Ferri Orthodontic Specialists, are leaders in sophisticated orthodontic practices with locations in Milwaukee, Racine and Brookfield. They specialize in creating smiles on patients of all ages and they would love to get to know your family and answer any questions you may have about orthodontic care. Our friends from Moles & Ferri had a great time getting to know all the families and even gave away an electric toothbrush plus $500 in orthodontic care!
The first 50 families who registered online for the Egg Hunt received a swag bag on behalf of Sendik’s Food Markets and our fabulous swag sponsors. Sendik’s Express offers a unique grocery shopping experience where you can order online and a personal shopper delivers your order right to your car! Our guests spun the prize wheel and walked away with a variety of fun prizes.
Leea of Life’s a Party Face Painting had a long line of eager kids waiting patiently for her art to adorn their faces. At Life’s a Party, only the highest quality paints are used and the level of artistry goes far beyond your typical face painter. For your next birthday party, event, or fundraiser….you can’t do better than Life’s a Party!
Kate from Usborne Books led Story Time and gave kids the opportunity to explore and and enjoy all the wonderful books she brought. Books make wonderful Easter gifts and Kate has options for everyone!
Melissa Morgan Photography set up an adorable photo booth and the pictures are SO CUTE! Photos can be downloaded HERE. Be sure to contact Melissa for your family photos, newborn sessions and so much more.

Our coffee and cupcake spread was provided by O’ What a Day Cafe in Brookfield, a fantastic spot right off Bluemound Rd known for their fresh ingredients and gluten free bakery options. Visit them for a cup of Colectivo coffee, breakfast, lunch, or for all your bakery needs. They love custom orders!
Brookfield Christian School enjoyed getting to know everyone as they played bag toss and answering questions about their educational offerings for kids of all ages. Get to know them a little better from our post by a local mom about why she chose Brookfield Christian for their family.
The bunny craft led by Brookfield Learning Shop was a huge hit with kids. They’re a stone’s throw from O’ What a Day Cafe, so grab some coffee and cupcakes and pop into the Learning Shop for specialty toys and educational activities.
Modern Woodmen of America was on site with fun giveaways and info about how families can invest in their financial future. As a fraternal organization, Modern Woodmen touches lives with more than financial products. Members have access to many member benefits, as well as social and volunteer opportunities.
Sara of Chiroway of Brookfield offered complimentary adjustments and had a fun “Spine Toss” activity for kids. She loves providing affordable, regular chiropractic care for the entire family from her convenient Brookfield location.
Queen Elsa from Storybook Enchantments was there and we heard over and over again how amazing she was! We can’t wait to have her visit us from Arendelle again soon!
And of course, what Easter event would be complete without the Easter Bunny himself?!
Kids in Motion really served as the perfect venue for the Family Egg Hunt — the numerous play rooms made for perfect places to hide eggs and we filled the huge laser tag area with nearly 2,000 eggs for the kids to find. They had so much fun running around and filling their baskets with eggs filled with treats and prizes!
We held a raffle on behalf of Hunger Task Force and collected nearly two full boxes of donations!
Our MkeMB Team worked so hard to put together all the details to make sure that all the families who came to the Egg Hunt had a wonderful experience. Thank you so much to everyone who joined us and we are already looking forward to next year!
Shout-out to Freckledfox Photography who captured these wonderful photos of the event. We highly recommend Sara for beautiful, quality photos of all varieties, but she specializes in birth and breastfeeding photography and would love to get to know you.
Thank you to our generous raffle, swag and egg hunt sponsors who made sure that everyone had a chance to win something really fun. Check out all these brands and businesses below who played a vital role in making the day such a success.
