If you’ve never ventured into the fun little downtown that is East Tosa, you’re missing out. Not only are there some great restaurants like The Red Dot and Belair Cantina, a fun little movie theater and the best doughnuts in Milwaukee (Cranky Al’s), but there are also fun events year round. This weekend East Tosa will host their 6th annual Chili’n on the Avenue, on North Avenue between 65th & 68th street from Noon until 9PM.
The event kicks off at noon with street Yoga Slam by Tosa Yoga. Throw on your yoga pants, grab your mat and start the day off with yoga outside on North Avenue.
The main event is of course the nationally sanctioned chili competition. Visit the chili village and sample all of the different chili and be sure to cast your vote for your favorite one! A chili cook-off isn’t the only competition going on, the local restaurants on North will be competing in the Bloody Mary contest. You can even visit the restaurants & try each bloody.
North Avenue will be hoppin’ with live music, food, and beer. You’ll get a chance to see Irish Dancers and a fashion show as well. As always, there will be plenty of shopping from local vendors, an obstacle course, bouncy houses and more! The Tundra Trike will be peddling around selling ice cream, stop in at U-turn for your fall fashion fix or relax with an old fashioned at Camp Bar.
