Ep. 4 : Kicking Down the Door on the Pelvic Floor

"Sex shouldn't be painful after Baby. Past the six weeks postpartum mark, don't tolerate painful intercourse as your new normal."

Episode 4 – Kicking Down the Door on the Pelvic Floor

Our bodies change a LOT as we grow older, especially after we’ve brought a baby into the world! All of us have heard the jokes, and possibly even made them, about how we pee our pants when we sneeze or laugh or how there are some symptoms our body throws at us that we have accepted just have to be suffered through now. After all, isn’t that the price we pay to be a Mom?

We sit down for a chat with Dr. Brenda Heinecke of Revitalize Physical Therapy to talk about some of the common pelvic floor issues that women experience, blow of some of the myths many of us have come to believe, and learn how the proper care can make a life-changing difference.

Mama, you don’t have to pee your pants and sex shouldn’t be painful. Let’s just start there, shall we? Listen in.

Dr. Brenda Heinecke is the expert for prenatal and postnatal care, incontinence, low back pain and female sports injuries in the Milwaukee area.  Her comprehensive approach helps patients get better, faster and have better long term success. If you are considering pelvic floor therapy, we highly recommend her!
