Mariana is a native Puerto Rican with an eclectic upbringing in both the South and the Midwest. She married her handsome Mexican dreamboat, Eric, in 2010. Mariana and Eric have two incredible MexiRican kids together, Gabriela and Oscar. Mariana is always running out the door after at least ten iterations of “put on your shoes!!” to head to work, Daisy Scout meetings, family birthdays and sporting events. Mariana works full time doing what she loves as a multicultural student recruiter for a local university. Getting young people from underrepresented communities hooked on higher education is what drives her. Coffee, sarcasm, historical fiction, and margaritas are what keep her sane and feliz.
