The China Lights are returning to Boerner Botanical Gardens in Whitnall Park in the fall of 2025 for another spectacular season, this time with more than 40 sets of larger-than-life lantern displays transforming the park into a magical forest!

Advance ticket purchases are strongly encouraged, as time slots do sell out! Onsite box office is open nightly at 5:30pm – 9:00pm.
Ticket Times:
The festival opens at 5:00 pm each night, and tickets are available online in three time slots. Please allow approximately 2 hours to enjoy the experience.
- First Entry starts at 5:30pm
- Second Entry is at 7:00pm
- Third Entry is at 8:30pm

What is China Lights?
This popular event celebrates the art, skill, and beauty of traditional Chinese lantern festivals with 40 incredible hand-painted, illuminated exhibits. The show site is approximately 9 acres and has a 3/4 of a mile route that includes some steps and uneven surfaces.
Food and Performances:
Live stage entertainment is included in the daily admission. The performance hours are 6:30pm, 7:30pm, and 9:00pm. Each show lasts for about 30 minutes. Stage performance might be canceled due to rain or other inclement weather. Live stage entertainment includes acts such as Hat Juggling, Face Changing, Balancing, and more! Local vendors and food trucks will also be on site with delicious food and drink available for purchase.
