A La Carte at the Zoo | August 17-20


Animals, live bands, and food, oh my! One of our very favorite Milwaukee summer traditions is coming up. A La Carte at the Zoo – presented by Meijer – will take place August 17-20. The Zoo will come alive with music, food, and fun… and a chance to hang out with the zoo’s many animals! 

Along with the animals – the 37th Annual A La Carte at the Zoo includes delicious food from some of the best Milwaukee restaurants, top local entertainment and loads of activities for kids of all ages! It’s been referred to as a family-friendly culinary entertainment extravaganza… truly a summer favorite and you won’t want to miss it.

Dates + Time

  • August 17-19: 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m.
  • August 20: 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.


While the zoos 2,000 animals are still the stars of the show — there are so many fun, interactive things that your kids will love to do throughout. You can stroll through five continental groupings of residents including scales and tails, feathered friends, and magnificent mammals – just to mention a few.

Food and beverage vendors will be available throughout. You’ll have the opportunity to experience both the wildlife and the cuisine from climes across the world, including North America, South America and Asia. 

Important note: Be sure to bring your credit or debit card! A La Carte at the Zoo is cashless for food and beverage.

Headliners perform at 7 p.m. on the Miller Lite Caribou Stage.*

*All musical entertainment is included with Zoo admission. Food, special attractions, and rides are offered for an additional fee. Zoological Society membership is valid for A La Carte.

  • Adults: $18
  • Child (3 to 12): $15
  • Seniors (60+): $17

Non-County Residents:

  • Adults: $19.75
  • Child (3 to 12) $16.75
  • Seniors (60+): $18.75

Reduced admission tickets for A La Carte are available at Tri City National Bank locations, while supplies last.
