(Milwaukee, WI): Washington Park is known for its Urban Ecology Center branch, large lagoon, and summer concerts in the park. This 100+ acre park used to be the home of the Milwaukee County Zoo and hosts a series of pocket parks with climbing structures – all done in a nature theme. At the north end of the park, there is a large playground that includes handicapped accessible ramps (and an old-fashioned merry-go-round!). It’s also the home of one of the Urban Ecology Centers!
