Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Wisconsin Dells, WI

Living in Wisconsin, we are so fortunate to be in driving distance of so many amazing waterparks. And did you know that July 28 is National Waterpark Day?! National Waterpark Day was founded in 2017 by the Kalahari Resorts and Conventions. You can splish-splash your way through the hottest time of the year in the midwest. The only requirements are laughter, fun… and a bathing suit!

Fun facts about National Waterpark Day!

Almost all states have at least one waterpark. There are more than 1,000 waterparks in the United States, more than in any other country in the world. There are indoor and outdoor waterparks, and they have even been built in cruise ships! Waterparks vary in what they offer. Water slides, lazy rivers, wave pools, swimming pools, splash pads, and water playgrounds are some of the components of waterparks. These water-themed amusement parks can be both relaxing and exhilarating!

Visiting a waterpark is a quintessential summer experience and National Waterpark Day is the perfect way to commemorate the fun and lasting memories families create at waterparks every summer.

Fun fact: Did you know that Wisconsin Dells calls itself the waterpark capital of the world? There are more waterparks per capita in the Dells than anywhere else in the world. Pretty cool!

Kalahari Resorts and Convention

One of my family’s very favorite waterparks is the Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Wisconsin Dells. EVERYTHING IS UNDER ONE ROOF at the Kalahari! With their authentic African-theme, the Kalahari is home to Wisconsins largest indoor waterpark at 125,000 square feet. On a hot summer day there is no better place to be than at the Kalahari’s outdoor waterpark. And there is also a massive Indoor Theme Park which offers an array of fun for the whole family!

The Kalahari is the ultimate place for a summer family getaway — with something for everyone. We visit year after year! We started going when our kids were little (toddlers) and there is something for everyone, every age… every adventure level. I have one child who loves the thrilling rides & slides and another who sticks to the Lazy River (more my speed, too) or the hot tub – a win/win because everyone is happy.

Check out all that the Kalahari has to offer your family. They have four locations across the United States: Pocono Mountains, Pennsylvania; Round Rock, Texas; Sandusky, Ohio; and of course Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin.
